Our local law enforcement officers, many of whom are members of the Arab American Police Association (AAPA), have volunteered much of their time to ensure the ease and flow of the Mosque Foundation's major events such as the two Eid Prayers, the all night Lailat al Qadr prayers, special programs and events, and local conventions.

In today's world, students face many academic challenges.  The Mosque Foundation Community Center (MFCC) has introduced the "Intensive Learning Program," meant to assist students who may be struggling in subjects such as Algebra I & II, Geometry, Chemistry, Writing, Speech, Spelling/Vocabulary, and Reading/Comprehension.

The Mosque Foundation has partnered with a local faith-based environmental organization, 'Faith in Place,' to champion the environmental causes within the Chicago and American Muslim community. Several community-based initiatives are being discussed and implemented, including making the new Mosque building more energy efficient or "green", by switching to renewable solar energy for heated water, using LED bulbs and lights, improving insulation, encouraging the consumption of humanly raised, of course Halal animals, and organic fruits and vegetables raised on farms which do not harm the soil and the earth, and much more.

Newly Appointed School Superintendent Invited to Discuss Arabic Language in Local Public School:  The Mosque Foundation is continuously working hard behind the scenes for the benefit of our community.

On Sunday, June 17th, the Mosque Foundation hosted a delegation sponsored by the State Department in coordination with ISNA and the National Peace Foundation called "Islam in America: New Dimensions in Activism, Pluralism, & Thought."
