Mosque Foundation Civic Campaign 2008

Mosque Foundation Civic Campaign 2008
1. Register to Vote, our goal is to register 1000 new American Muslim voters this year (1100 new voters were registered)
2. Attend Vote Yes for Constitutional Convention Rally on October 12th (completed)
3. Attend Get Out and Vote Rally on October 28th (completed)
4. Get Out To Vote with your family and friends on November 4th (completed)
5. Vote Yes to Constitutional Convention on the Voting ballot
6. If your child attend Public schools (especially Oak Lawn, Stagg, Sandburg, and Andrew High Schools), call the school principal, meet with him/her and request that Arabic language is added to foreign languages taught at school. Federal funds are available for teaching Arabic.
7. Contact Dr. Michael Riordan, Superintendant of School District 229 at 708-424-5200 ext 5601
mriordan@olchs.org, and Dr. James Gay, Superintendant of School District 230 at 708-745-5210, jgay@d230.org and request that Arabic language is added to foreign languages taught at the district schools.
8. Send one letter to the editor of local newspaper about a community issue.
