British Author & Former Priest who converted to Islam speaks at Mosque Foundation Thursday, June 11th at 8:30 PM.

Muhammad Asad, Leopold Weiss, was born in Livow, Austria (later part of Poland) in 1900, and at the age of 22 made his visit to the Middle East. He later became an outstanding foreign correspondent for the publication, Franfurtur Zeitung, and after his conversion to Islam from Judaism, he traveled and worked throughout the Muslim world, from North Africa to as far East as Afghanistan.

There was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world. It was able to create a continental super-state that stretched from ocean to ocean, and from northern climes to tropics and deserts. Within its dominion lived hundreds of millions of people, of different creeds and ethnic origins.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Your smile in the face of your brother is a charity." This is proof that sometimes the smallest actions may make the biggest difference, actions we never foresee may change another's life.  This is the story of a new Muslim sister who recently declared her shahada, and wanted to share her experience at the Mosque Foundation.
