It Does Matter To All of Us
Our students in Al-Siddiq school want to share their feelings with people overseas fighting to get their freedom.

Here are some student thoughts:
* In a matter of weeks, the people of Tunisia and Egypt ousted the dictators who had ruled their countries for decades. No individual, group, or event was solely responsible for these historic shifts in power. Yet these turning points helped to bring people, who have long felt abused by their governments into the streets to revolt. This has also happened to Libya. They have waited too long for this opportunity and they have to be brave and not to be afraid from Qaddafi and his troops. In Yemen and Syria people have said, “The people want the fall of the government.” The people have protested and protested for a while. The Arab spring is a spring that will leave the world a better place, prepared for peace and justice! By: Nora Attallah
* The youth of the Arab Nation finally stood up against their governments. I think that is good, and it’s about time they stood up for themselves. Unfortunately, there have been too many deaths and not enough progress. In Egypt, they kept the protests peaceful and with Allah's help they were successful in getting their country’s freedom. Once Egypt became free, the other Muslim youth in other countries decided to protest also. It’s sad to see a lot of people get killed to get the freedom they deserve. By: Aisha Ayyad
