Thank you Dr. Sahloul (Brother Zaher),

Prophet Muhammad PBUH said: “He who does not thank the people does not thank Allahمن لم يشكر الناس لم يشكرالله

I speak on behalf of the whole community when I say that all the work that you have put into the mosque and our community making it a better place is greatly appreciated. We are honored to have had a smart, loyal, perseverant, calm, and wise man, like your self, to be president of our mosque.

We know that your reward in the Akhiraالآخرة"   "is far greater than this thank you letter. There are not enough words to describe how much we appreciate your help and generosity. Without the blessing of ALLAH, and youwe could not have accomplished many things, and we would not be where we are today. I witnessed your insistence and perseverance working with the board of directors to get the construction project started, and to see the wonderful results of the Mosque we all love, including the minaret.

With your wisdom and leadership, you were able to gather all the ideas and join them as one, despite the major range of opinions. You were able to create a compromise in a way that made everyone happy. People like you make the world a better place. Many people, youth and adults, are inspired by your speeches, ideas, and especially your actions. You are the kind of person that not only speaks, but acts as well.

We know that you are not president of the mosque anymore, but your good actions continue. We are happy to hear that you are the president of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC).

Finally, we would like to give a special thanks to your family. We have kept you away from them and lessened your time together. The five years that you spent at the mosque were one of the greatest years in the mosque and community’s history. You will always have a special place in our hearts. Once again, thank you. We wish you the best and we pray to Allah to keep you a blessing to our community.

Jazakallahu Khyran
