Assalam Alaikum Warahamatu Allah Wabarakatuh,

Our Mosque has come a long way and made tremendous progress in recent years. If not the best, it is undoubtedly one of the best in the US. After the blessings of Allah, it took the hard work of its members and the generosity of this community to reach this level.

For any work to succeed, it has to have key elements:
·         Clear vision and plan
·         Human resources.
·         Financial resources
·         Most importantly Sincerity among the people executing the plans

With the blessings of Allah, our Mosque has all of these elements and we truly have what it takes to succeed. Our vision is set and our plans are well laid out with clear direction. This community is rich with its resources, both human and financial. Everyone involved with Mosque, we believe, is doing so for the sake of Allah and out of love for this Mosque. The recent achievements and milestones outlined by Dr. Zaher Sahloul during the General Assembly Meeting is a clear indication of the success of this organization and a testimony to its accomplishments. With this success, it is also recognized that there have been mistakes and shortcomings, and there is room for improvement.

In the next term we will, insha’ Allah, build on the current achievements and success and learn from our mistakes and shortcomings to become stronger and more efficient. We need to raise the bar and set higher expectations in order to continue to improve and become a world class organization.

Among others, there are three focus areas of great importance:
·         Excellent services in all of its aspects. Our community and members truly deserve the best of services.
·         Youth – as we believe they are our future, they have to be a top priority. We recognize the importance and the urgency to address this issue. It will be no easy task and will require the dedication of a great deal of human and financial resources. With the blessing and help of Allah we will, insha’ Allah, succeed.
·         Outreach, both to Muslims and non-Muslims. It is essential for us to build strong relationships and partnerships with other organizations and individuals, Muslims and non-Muslims alike. We have made tremendous progress and set the platform for such relationships and we will build on this accomplishment. We must drive our community to become more civically engaged to become an integral part of this society.

The potential is tremendous, the expectations are high and the responsibility is enormous. After the blessings of Allah, it will take the hard work and dedication of each and every one of us to continue to improve and elevate ourselves to the next level.

Our thanks to Dr. Zaher Sahloul for his leadership, efforts and what he has achieved. We ask Allah to guide him and reward him and his family. We thank all board members who completed their terms for everything they have given, and may Allah reward them and their families. Special thanks to all of the volunteers as they are the backbone of this organization.

We ask Allah for his blessings and guidance. We ask Allah to purify our hearts and grant us sincerity in what we say and do.  Ameen.

Jazakum Allah Khairan
Your brother,
