Message From Imam Kifah Mustapha - Optimism

In the day of Hudaibiah, when the prophet (pbuh) came to perform Umrah in Makkah, many messengers of Quraish were sent to negotiate a deal with the prophet (pbuh). When Suhayl, the son of Amr, came, the prophet (pbuh) said, "Ease for your matter has come." (Hadith narrated by Bukhari.) He (pbuh) saw ease in the name of Suhayl which in Arabic means "ease and joy."  The prophet (pbuh) was optimistic and hoping for something good to happen, and he saw the sign in Suhayl's name.  Read more...

prayerSMAbu Hurayrah (RAA) said, "The messenger of Allah said: [By the (One) my soul is in His hand, I have (almost) initiated  to order wood to be chopped, then order Salah to be called for (Azan), then order a person to lead people (in prayer), then go back to (some) men and burn their houses on them. Looking outside at the houses decorated with glimmering lights, watching the white flakes dance outside our window panes, and relishing in the heat of our cozy homes reminds us that the American holiday season has commenced, ushering in the end of another year. However, the warm and fuzzy sensations we normally feel this time of year as many of us enjoy our days off from work and studies have, or should, recall in our minds a far more dismal emotion.
