On behalf of the Mosque Foundation, I would like to extend our sincerest thanks for the outpouring of support we received during our Annual Fundraising Dinner on Sunday, April 5th, 2009. By the grace of Allah, many people attended the event and we were able to reach our set goal by the end of the week.

We could not have been so successful without the bounty of Allah (SWT), and secondly, this great community and its volunteers who assisted in coordinating the event. We are grateful to everyone who took time out of their busy weekends to attend the dinner, showing their support for their Masjid, and donating from their wealth. Especially during such tough economic times, when many people are trying to keep their businesses and personal finances viable, it is humbling that many of our brothers and sisters made financial donations. We pray that they are all among those whom Allah (SWT) describes as, “...men who give charity and women who give charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.”

The success of this Masjid is measured by your responsiveness to its various initiatives and activities. This is because a Masjid is not simply a place for conducting prayers. On the contrary, it must serve as the cornerstone of the Muslim community. Not all Muslim communities have succeeded in establishing a Masjid such as the one we have been blessed with. This is because Allah (SWT) states, “The mosques of Allah are visited and maintained only by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and those who establish Salat and pay Zakat and who fear none but Allah. It is they who are expected to be among those on the right path.” Therefore, we feel pleased and encouraged when we witness great numbers of people attend activities such as the candidate night we held recently. We appreciate your response to our call and ask Allah (SWT) to answer your prayers and calls.

We thank Allah (SWT) and this generous community for its unwavering support and commitment to this Masjid which has enabled us to continue to advance in our mission.
